@Toaster - Heh, I’ve still been trying to get Russ to watch all the DVD’s of Lost anyway though because the third season is just so interesting. However, as you can see here, I haven’t had much luck

I’m pissed the sequel was delayed too.

Paramount has no plans for a TV-series at this point because, flatly, they’re broke and Trek is expensive to produce. Last I heard anyway.

So. I watched it and relly had my fun! It was one of the better Dr. Who episodes. Tennant was really crazy this time and at one point at the end, I thought that now the good Doctor is mentally gone. Who needs a new villain if you have the Doctor? Kidding!

I liked the waters of mars very much. The actors played well, the story was thrilling and the fx was nice to look at.

Next month we will get the last installment of the Doctor in this form. I think we will see the new Doctor at the end of the episode. I’ll give him a chance but hope it won’t be like Sarah Jane Adventures!

After Trek hit the theaters the news came up, that the next movie will come in 2011! And now it’s 2012? What a pity. I was very happy to see a sequel so soon.
Khan is surely a possibility but not necessarily a good choice. I was very fond of the idea, not to copy another Trek for the “first” movie and do something new instead. But I have to admit that Nestor Carbonell would be an excellent choice. So would be Greg Grunberg as Harry Mudd, I think. But regardless if JJA is going to re-invent “Space Seed” or do something completely new, he is the right choice to continue a movie series.

BTW… when will we see a new tv-series?

Lost did better since the end of season 3. But is that worth to go to three sometimes boring seasons?

I’ll watch it tonight and really hope it will be the best one yet. Regarding the next Dr. Who. He looks like a Dorian Gray type. The idea to use a younger cast might work.

Actually season one of Dollhouse was not bad. I didn’t follow it unfrtunately.

I am going to go off topic for a bit, Miramax Films and Fox are the two worst offenders. When it comes to damn decent scripts and the quality of the films and TV shows.

regardless of the quality of dollhouse, it had no chance to have
better ratings because its stuck on friday nights.
its not the first time FOX kills a show in that manner, allmost
every sci fi show they aired, died on friday nights:
firefly, dark angel, sliders, strange luck, Brimstone, John Doe,
and the most recent victims TSCC and dollhouse.
it can’t be a coincidence, can it?
FOX simply hate scifi.

Dread - From my perspective, I’ll be sad too, but to each their own. I liked this show *because* it was supposed to make you uncomfortable, it was supposed to make you a little weirded out, it was supposed to scare you. That was the point of Epitaph One on the dvd. But not everybody likes that, so I can understand.

Either way, Babylon 5 may have continued at a snail’s pace, but it dropped hints of what was really coming - Dollhouse didn’t do that until the last 2 eps that aired so far. The rest of the season was pretty much a waste.

Not sure I agree with this part of your post though, If each story is strong enough on it’s own it does not matter if the overall story line is streched over the season. After all it work for shows like Babylon 5 and even shows like Veronica Mars.

I know both these shows were also canned far to soon, but it was not few lack of veiwers but for other reasons.

Well Fox were not the only ones this made uncomfortable, as many viewers felt the same. I know i did. This to me was this shows biggist problem.

I did watch Dollhouse but cannot say i am that sorry it’s been canned. I still miss Joss’s other shows such as Buffy/Angel and Firefly but I doubt i will miss this show at all.

I do however feel for the cast and crew, After all for them it’s there jobs.
