I’m in the uber-minority when it comes to The Chronicles of Riddick, but I really like that movie, not so much Pitch Black but Riddick was awesome and I personally would love to see a sequel but that doesn’t look possible, you never know however. All that we can get is a video game that will probably perform like the films but the trailer is worth looking at. Is anyone else here Riddick fans or am I alone?

Jeanne Cavelos is best known to genre fans as the author to Babylon 5: The Shadow Within, considered to be one of the few official tie-ins to the franchise and one of the best B5 books written. She is also author to The Passing of the Techno-Mages trilogy and several other novels including The Science of Star Wars and The Science of The X-Files, among many others which you can read more about in a few minutes.

Well it’s about damn time! As you can see from the screen cap or if you’ve visited Youtube, they’ve finally gone widescreen instead of the normal little square box. They’ve transitioned from a 4:3 aspect ration to a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio to accomodate more HD content. Let’s take a look at the Youtube announcement:

And here we go… The Screen Actors Guild is putting out a call to its members for a possible strike, which I don’t think will happen… or I hope doesn’t happen.

The last couple of days has been slow in the movie news world for obvious reasons. A new President has been elected and that is more important than movie and tv stuff.
I haven’t endorsed anyone on this site because NFD isn’t the place for politics but I did vote and was very proud to do so.
If anyone wants to speak on the new President-Elect, go ahead, but keep it civil.

At the beginning of last week I put up a post that announced a theme park ride for Transformers by Universal. Inside the press release the Chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts Tom Williams said that they are collaborating with Michael Bay as well as others.
In a quick post made by Michael Bay over at his official site, he tells us that’s not even true. “The Transformer Ride at Universal making all the press rounds - not sure yet - they had me in a press release saying …

See that guy on the right. That’s Ian Fleming, the real James Bond.
Some people may find this interesting, for those who are big Bond fans. I’m not going to explain it; let the press release do that.
