Nicolas Cage as Superman - Costume test photo from Tim Burton’s once film

Tim Burton, we’ve loved your Batman films but thank god this movie you had in mind never got made.  I’m honestly speechless.
Before Superman Returns by Bryan Singer, Tim Burton was going to direct a Superman film with Nic Cage as The Man of Steel or in this case… I don’t even know how to explain it.  You know what, I’ll just let io9.com explain it.
io9.com:
The movie’s screenplay was written by Kevin Smith and eventually rewritten by Wesley Strick. The whole thing was set to film in 1999. But after …

Avatar footage shows up in Japanese commercial

New footage, yes!  It’s short but it’s something.   The story isn’t the Avatar footage, it’s the Japanese chick in the commercial.  She’s one of the top reasons why I love Asian women so much.  If you don’t recognize her her name is Koyuki - she played Taka in The Last Samurai starring Tom Cruise.  I love that film and Koyuki is friggin’ so hot in it… OMG.  It’s also worth mentioning that she auditioned for the role of Chiyo/Sayuri in Memoirs of a Geisha but she obviously didn’t get the …

Comic writer Rob Liefeld is pumped for Deadpool movie!

Those of you who are into comic books no doubt know who Rob Liefeld is, he wrote X-Force 1-12 as well as drew for several comics, and while he’s not a very good artist in my opinion, he’s been with the industry for a good chunk of his life, and he knows what it’s about.
Well, according to SuperHeroHype, he just tweeted about meeting with Lauren Schuler Donner about the new Deadpool flick starring Ryan Reynolds.
According to the site, he Tweeted the following very interesting stuff:
“Great Deadpool movie meeting! Lauren Schuler …

With filming for Kenneth Branagh’s live action adaptaton of Thor gearing up, more actors join the cast of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston.
“Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore are coming aboard the Marvel Studios adaptation of its comic book featuring the Norse god of thunder,” says The Hollywood Reporter.  “Alexander is playing Sif, a skilled Asgardian Warrior who can hold her own against any man.  She also is one of Thor’s loves.”

Highlander ‘Re-Imagining’ Has Director and Producer!

According to Slashfilm, the new Highlander re-imagining thing that Summit Entertainment is doing now has a producer and a director.
For those of you who kept up with the news, the screenplay already had writers - the writers of the original Iron Man, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, are being tapped to write the script, but in addition to that news, Fast and Furious director Justin Lin is going to be helming the picture.  In addition, the producer of all the Fast and Furious movies as well as the XXX movies, …

Lauren Schuler Donner wants more X-Films!

Right after you thought it was over, Lauren Schuler Donner reveals that she’s pushing for more X-Films besides the supposed “First Class” rumor that was going around.
According to SlashFilm, Lauren says that she’s pushing an X-4, reuniting the original cast. I’m not sure how the original cast actually feels about this, nor did she feel like commenting on that, but I really can’t imagine an X-4 after the debacle that was X-3. I think I’d rather have the reboot movie, to be honest, so we can forget how …

Bettany’s Priest gets even more cast!

As if the existing cast (Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins) weren’t enough, Priest just announced three more additions to the cast, all veteran actors:  Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif, and Madchen Amick.  Christopher Plummer is one of my favorite character actors, especially in Star Trek VI, as is Brad Dourif, a veteran of X-Files and Star Trek Voyager.   This cast is just amazing and I can’t wait to see them in action.
Sony and Screen Gems say the following about the film:

Priest is …

Director says Jennifer’s Body works on several levels

Once again over at SciFiWire, Jennifer’s Body director Karyn Kusama talks about how many different levels the film works on.
First and foremost, she says it’s not a gorefest! That’s fine with me - ever since Saw came out, movie-going audiences seem obsessed with turning horror into the most disgusting repugnant dismemberment and torture-fest imaginable, so you only have few movies that really come through as scary. (More on that one later…) Secondly, she says that the film isn’t just about a demon, it’s about female sexuality. …

First Look: The Kung-Fu Kid photos

Wow…!  I’ve only seen two photos and I already am predicting shit.  I can’t tell if the failing of this film will be from Jaden Smith’s dreads or the director - mind you this is the guy who directed The Pink Panter 2.
Thanks to Spoiler TV, we can take a look at a couple of photos with Jackie Chan and Janden Smith filming The Kung-Fu Kid, the abomination that will remake The Karate Kid.
“Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith stars in this updated version of the 1980’s film that starred Ralph …
