Magneto plot synopsis

The second film in the X-Men origins series Magneto has a plot synopsis.  Thanks to CoventryTelegraph, lets take a look.
“The original X-Men film began with a prologue that showed the character as a child being led to a concentration camp by Nazis and that is the period in which the Magneto film will take place. This setup will allow a future villain to at least flirt with the designation of protagonist since the character will be seen almost exclusively in his formative years.”
This essentially means that the young Magneto is …

Beyonce Knowles wants to play Wonder Woman

I don’t know if a Wonder Woman film will ever get made but superhero fans have their picks to play the character and occasionally celebs come out and show interest.  You can add this one to the list…
Beyonce revealed to the LA Times that she’s met with reps from DC Comics and WB to tell them she’s interested. “I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman?  It would be great.  And it would be a very bold choice.  A black Wonder Woman would be …

Josh Brolin may NOT be Jonah Hex

Just about a month ago I put up a post that said Josh Brolin is rumored to be signed on to play Jonah Hex for Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.  However, that’s not true entirely.
Basically, he doesn’t know yet and it doesn’t sound likely.  He spoke to Collider on the matter and he said, “Nope; Don’t know yet.”  He continues, “Don’t know. I have a very tough time deciding, except for “Milk.” I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know. It’s a very good time. It’s a …

Captain America gets its director!

It’s official.  Marvel Studios have signed their director for the First Avenger: Captain America.
Joe Johnston who is a child of George Lucas (not really) has a small but interesting IMDB profile that Marvel head Kevin Feige says, “This is a guy who designed the vehicles for ‘Star Wars,’ who storyboarded the convoy action sequence for ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’,” telling THR.  “From ‘Rocketeer’ to ‘ October Sky’ to ‘The Wolfman,’ you can look at pieces of his movies and see how they lead to this one.”
Johnston started out working for …

Star Trek trailer description

A couple of trailer descriptions have shown up on net.  Paramount has been showing the trailer to Star Trek at Paramount studios and a couple of people have chimed in over at AICN.  Since the trailer is coming out this week, I’m not even going to repost it because some people don’t want to be spoiled especially when they can see it for themselves in just a couple of days.
Head on over to AICN for the descriptions.

Comingsoon.net took a photo of a Kristin Kreuk poster for the new Street Fighter movie, which will probably suck, but the poster is worth posting.

First Look at Burn-E

Burn-E is a character we saw for just a second in Wall-E.  Along with the DVD release of Wall-E November 18th, a 7 minute shot film on the character will be featured.
Wall-E is one of my favorite movies of this year and I’m most definitely going to get the DVD.
Thanks to Pixarblog; here’s three photos from the new short film.  Head over there for larger photos.

Mark Millar talks his Superman trilogy

“Mark Millar wants to create an epic 8-hour screen story which will follow the entire life of Kal-El from his birth on Krypton a thousand years ago, until he is the last being left on Earth.”
That is the first paragraph from an Empire Online report and interview with Mark Millar.  Millar has been vocal for a couple of months saying that he wants to create a trilogy of Superman films instead of Warner Bros continuing a franchise with Bryan Singer’s vision.
I’ve been pretty consistent in saying that I want to …

Burn After Reading on DVD December 23rd

I’ve never mentioned it and I’ve never written a review for it… for reasons I don’t know but I think I should mention it now that I did indeed see Burn After Reading.  I didn’t like it…  It’s not a terrible movie but it was really boring.  What comedies are suppose to set out to do is make people laugh.  I didn’t find this movie funny at all.  I actually didn’t find it entertaining at all.  To me it seemed like a simple acting exercise for the A-list talents you see …
