Set Footage: The A-Team - B.A. Baracus is Mr. T!

Entertainment Tonight has released a short video from a recent set visit they made to Vancouver for The A-Team starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Jessica Biel.
The set visit, as you can tell from the video, is very short but we get a great look at “Rampage” Jackson’s Mr. T haircut and what looks to be a little of his performance.  I’ll hold a little skeptism - it could be he was just playing for the camera’s, however, it sounded and looked to cool to …

Video Game Movie News Extravaganza! (I love that word)

Again, at Slashfilm, we get the skinny on some of the upcoming video game movies coming up in the coming years.
Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter, apparently some muckety-mucks in the video-game movie … game… talk about their upcoming films, Kane and Lynch, Just Cause, and Hitman 2.
First off, Bruce “McClane” Willis has signed up to play the character “Kane” in the Kane and Lynch movie.  They say it’s a great action movie premise and will be wonderful - we’ll see.
The Just Cause project is moving forward as well, though very …

TMNT Rights sold to Nickelodeon… Ugh

Okay… I know I’m one of the few, the happy few, who saw the original work done on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - the original comic was darkly satirical of real action movies. It was kind of funny, but not the hamfest that we got from later iterations of the damn thing. Well, news trickled down today from Slashfilm (apparently the only news source worth a damn today), that the rights to the TMNT property were sold today … to Nickelodeon.
Yay. Just what we need. …

James Cameron is a Bad@$#

The New-Yorker recently ran a rather interesting piece on director James Cameron, the directorial force (of nature in some ways) behind the Aliens movies, Terminator and Terminator 2, Titanic and his latest work Avatar. The writer goes into depth describing not just the work he’s done, but the man himself; it paints a rather interesting picture of a man who’s both awesome, and just a smidgen on the harsh side.
Examples? Well, for one, he yelled “Do you want Paul Verhoeven to finish this motherfucker?” to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s face, after he’d …

New Images from vampire apocalypse movie Daybreakers

Over at IO9, they’re displaying some new images from the big new VampirePocalypse flim, Daybreakers. I’ve attached the images to this article.
The plot of the movie sounds… weird, but definitely interesting. With the world’s blood supply running out, Vampires are forced to put us into huge automated blood systems reminiscent of a cross between Blade Trinity’s blood farms and the Matrix’s human battery fields. (The image shows this…)
The few humans left running around are trying to come up with a cure to stop vampirism because it’s destroying …

The Expendables promotional trailer!

THIS MOVIE LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!
Oh man, I can’t wait to see The Expendables.  This looks like a great, fun, action packed movie.  If you don’t like the trailer, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.
“Sylvester Stallone gears up for a men-on-a-mission film with the Nu Image/Millennium Films war picture The Expendables. Jason Statham and Jet Li co-star alongside the brawny filmmaker as a group of mercenaries who undertake a near-impossible operation to overthrow a dictator in South America. Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts, Terry Crews, and UFC star Randy Couture co-star in …

Tom Clancy Ryan novels getting YET another reboot - this time with Chris Pine?

Well, as is wont to happen over the years, the Jack Ryan movies based on Tom Clancy’s series of novels are getting another reboot - this time maybe with Star Trek’s Chris Pine as the lead.
The actor is currently in talks with Paramount, according to Variety, to appear as Jack Ryan, and though talks have just begun, it’s unlikely he’ll turn them down - so they say, anyway.
Pine is slated for a lot of Paramount hits at the moment, so he is probably their new golden boy.
In the previous movies, …

JJ Abrams talks Mission Impossible

As you all know by now, J.J. Abrams has signed on to do Mission Impossible 4, which can only be a good thing in my opinion, especially after MI:3 rocked so hard. He’s presently in discussions with his writers on where the plot was going to go, but he got an unexpected call from a friend of Leonard Nimoy’s - Peter Graves. According to Slashfilm, JJ said:

How cool would that be? I just got a call that Peter Graves is in great shape, which would be a very …

TONS of Star Trek movie news!

There was a great deal of news this week about Star Trek and what JJ Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are thinking of doing with the franchise, so I thought I’d compile it all into one wonderful post for you!
First off, with the upcoming release of Star Trek on Blu-Ray, there’s been a lot of talk about what will be seen there.  Well, there will indeed be a list of deleted scenes that will be accessible in the bonus features section of the disk, including a surprise Alias guest-star …

Bryan Singer in talks to re-take the X-Men Franchise

Wow, good news on a lot of fronts lately. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bryan Singer told them that he is “in talks with Fox” about possibly returning to helm the fourth movie in the X-men franchise.
Most will consider this a welcome change after X-3 was an abysmal failure of a movie and X-Men Origins Wolverine was reviled for what it did to Deadpool.  I personally believe that X-3 was screwed up by not having David Hayter writing it, not director Brett Rattner. Hayter he did work on Michael …
