A couple of weeks ago, I found this 100 pack of old science fiction movies, B-movies ranging from the 1940s to the 90s. I picked it up and looked at the back seeing what movies this DVD pack had to offer guessing that some of the movies that I’ve seen were on it, however, as it turns out every single movie in the pack I’ve never seen before. ;I considered putting it down but the price tag of $14 bucks was to awesome to pass up, so I …

This week, here’s a piece from The New World starring Colin Farrell, Christian Bale and Q’Orinaka Kilcher. The score for this film is from James Horner who’s a living legend, among many, in the film scoring world. He’s scored such films as Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, Krull, Aliens, Glory, Braveheart, Titanic, Apollo 13, and the upcoming Avatar. Enjoy!

This weeks Scores and Soundtracks is a double feature because the soundtrack is so damn good I had to post a couple of songs from the film.
This weeks featured film is The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford starring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. The score to this film is fantastic! It’s one of my favorite scores to come out of 2007 - I still listen to it today. The score is composed by Nick Cave and performed by Warren Ellis. Enjoy!

Yaya! My vacation from my job starts today and with that, here’s another cool artist from deviantART, T-Flux!
You can’t tell me that the image above isn’t awesome because, in fact, it is awesome. It’s awesome just like the other images that come from T-Flux that I show below. Just like many of the artists I choose for my weekly photo features, words can’t really describe how cool the images that come from the imagination truly are. In this set, besides the photo above, the image of the bike and the …

The last several weeks have been filled with Ghostbusters talk - lots of talk about the newly released video game, a lot of talk about Ghostbusters 3 which is currently in script phase and the release of Ghostbusters on Blu-Ray. All of the talk and exposure to the classic franchise, I had to go back and watch the first Ghostbusters film to relive some of the excitement especially with the possibility of a new film. On top of that, I’ve been watching a lot of play-throughs of the …

The last couple of weeks have been full of Predator news - prequel, remake, sequel stuff, we’re not really sure. Whatever the case is, I’ve looked through my photo galleries and found a couple of photos from the first Predator film. This is such a great movie - I hope Robert Rodriguez can do it justice with the next film, whenever it gets made.

One of the great scores is of course Predator. The composer behind that is Alan Silvestri, best known for his Back to the Future score. Above is the main theme for the Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Enjoy!

Another week ends - they do fly by sometimes. Starting off the weekend is another artist from deviantART. Today we look at the work of Alex Figini aka Sundragon83.
The photo above is awesome. I’ve always been a fan of giant monster movies like the old Godzilla movies and Cloverfield. I really like the concepts below, especially the mechs - those are really cool. If you like what you see here, make sure you head on over to Sundragon83’s deviantART gallery to see his work.
