Concept Art & Design Thursday: FlyingDebris

This week I’ve been on a kick of checking out artwork of Mechs… I don’t know why.  They’re awesome, I suppose that’s the best answer I can give.
This week we’re taking a look at some of the work from a deviantARTist FlyingDebris.  As you can see from the photo above and those below, AWESOME!  I wish we can get a good movie with Mechs blowing shit up but so far all we’ve gotten is Robot Jox (great movie) and District 9.  If you like what you see here, and I …

Concept Art & Design Saturday: T-Flux

Yaya!  My vacation from my job starts today and with that, here’s another cool artist from deviantART, T-Flux!
You can’t tell me that the image above isn’t awesome because, in fact, it is awesome.  It’s awesome just like the other images that come from T-Flux that I show below.  Just like many of the artists I choose for my weekly photo features, words can’t really describe how cool the images that come from the imagination truly are.  In this set, besides the photo above, the image of the bike and the …

Star Trek: Early design of the Riverside Shipyards building the Enterprise

Over at John Eaves blog,  a few concept images have been posted which show the very early designs of what the Riverside shipyard could have looked like in the recently release Star Trek.
Eaves is probably one of the most experienced and established concept illustrator in filmmaking today.  He’s worked on tons of films and television shows which includes Robocop 2, Terminator 2, Artificial Intelligence, Seaquest DSV and several Star Trek films and TV series.  That is, however, only a fraction of things he’s worked on.   To see his full profile, …
