Tom Clancy Ryan novels getting YET another reboot - this time with Chris Pine?
Well, as is wont to happen over the years, the Jack Ryan movies based on Tom Clancy's series of novels are getting another reboot - this time maybe with Star Trek's Chris Pine as the lead.
The actor is currently in talks with Paramount, according to Variety, to appear as Jack Ryan, and though talks have just begun, it's unlikely he'll turn them down - so they say, anyway.
Pine is slated for a lot of Paramount hits at the moment, so he is probably their new golden boy.
In the previous movies, Jack has been played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck, all of whom are great actors in their own rights. We'll see how Pine fits into the shoes.
