Comic writer Rob Liefeld is pumped for Deadpool movie!
Those of you who are into comic books no doubt know who Rob Liefeld is, he wrote X-Force 1-12 as well as drew for several comics, and while he's not a very good artist in my opinion, he's been with the industry for a good chunk of his life, and he knows what it's about.
Well, according to SuperHeroHype, he just tweeted about meeting with Lauren Schuler Donner about the new Deadpool flick starring Ryan Reynolds.
According to the site, he Tweeted the following very interesting stuff:
"Great Deadpool movie meeting! Lauren Schuler Donner and her team are headed in the right direction!"
"Deadpool movie checklist- DP in costume-check! Breaking 4th wall-check! Loads of killing-double check!"
"Also excited to discuss possibilities of Cable in future X-films!!!"
To put it mildly, I'm very excited about these, especially that last one! For as long as I've been reading comics (which isn't actually that long), I've enjoyed Cable - he is Scott and Jean's son from a post-Apocalypse future, for those of you who know the movies and not the comics. He's always interesting, always has knowledge of the future, and is exciting.
But even if Cable doesn't make it soon, Deadpool is by far one of the most interesting characters running around the Marvel-verse, and I hope we get to see this film in Summer 2010, I don't want to wait any longer for it! Click the image below to see one of Deadpool's funniest moments lately!
