Colm Feore and Jaimie Alexander join the cast of Marvel’s THOR

With filming for Kenneth Branagh's live action adaptaton of Thor gearing up, more actors join the cast of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston.

"Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore are coming aboard the Marvel Studios adaptation of its comic book featuring the Norse god of thunder," says The Hollywood Reporter.  "Alexander is playing Sif, a skilled Asgardian Warrior who can hold her own against any man.  She also is one of Thor's loves."

"Feore's character is shrouded in mystery--the studio isn't even sending the actors the script--though it is known to be a villain."

You'll recognize Feore from films like Pearl Harbor, The Chronicles of Riddick, the television mini-series Empire, and he even played President Adar in Battlestar Galactica.  Alexander is practically starting out her acting career but is probably most well known for her role as Jessi in Kyle XY.

Also, although unknown if it has ever been debunked (let me know if it has), Brian Blessed is rumored by play Odin, king of the gods.

I've never seen Kyle XY so I really can't comment on Alexander except that she's hot.  Feore, however, I've seen much of his work throughout the years and he's pretty bad ass.  It's no surprise he'll be playing a villain - it's what he does in movies; plays villains.  He's also born to play a Roman which he did in Empire as Caesar.

Am I looking forward to this???
Er no, You know when there was a new run of superhero films like Spiderman and X-Men it was a all relatively new and exciting. Not so much now. Like comics themselfs in the 90’s the market is just flooded and gets to much. I was a big X-Men fan and spent a lot of time in the 90’s reading there adventures in comics but then more and more spin offs came out and well kinda killed it for me. I am now starting to feel that way with superhero films in gerneral.

To me it would have been far better to have 10 X-Men/Spiderman film that 10 differant superhero films. Also Thor is not a very exciting character, like most superhereo they are fine when in a larger universe with all the other superheros out there, but on there own with just 1 or 2 villens (in there own little universe if that makes sense) knida dull.
