Cast reveals more about Dollhouse Season 2!
Over at SciFi Wire, Eliza Dushku, Tahmoh Penikett, and Dichen Lachman revealed more insight into the coming season of Dollhouse. Be warned, spoilers are ahead!
Some of the stuff they told us Joss had already said during his last interview, but I'll cover the new stuff - Tahmoh says that Season 2 really reminds him of the unaired pilot, going back to a more noir-ish feel to the series, and the feel is more even-keeled. So this probably means Fox has backed off of Joss Whedon a little bit and let the show do its thing. In addition, Tahmoh says that Paul is only going to get deeper into the Dollhouse, interrogating suspects and seeing their secrets. Ballard has reached an agreement with Adelle (Olivia Williams) that he needs to help Echo, and Olivia needs him to help keep the Dollhouse running - though it's unclear if Ballard's goal is still to ruin the Dollhouse or not, his motivations will be mysterious.
Dichen Lachman revealed that she's going to get to play some more interesting dolls this year, and really reach for it from an acting standpoint. One of her upcoming dolls is going to be a racist. And, Dushku stated that Echo's mindwipes won't be complete, she'll have lingering aftereffets from each imprint, which they already hinted at in the DVD episode Epitaph One.
I'm excited! Dollhouse premieres this week, Friday, September 25th at 9.
