The Fantastic Four to be ‘rebooted’
Well, that's it for that version of the franchise - nearly 3 years after the release of the last film, the Fantastic Four are going to be rebooted. The full story is here ComingSoon.net.
I have to say... I hate this idea. I was one of the few people who walked away from the first movie thinking, "That was kind of cool!" Then, a few years later, they released the uncut DVD, and that really made the movie flow more for me, and now I watch it like three times a year. The second movie was also good, though I disliked the Silver Surfer in that one, it was a very entertaining movie.
I'm sure comics fans loathed them for whatever reason, but I never got my hands on the Fan 4 comics as a kid, and I thought those movies were fun, joy-ride popcorn films, and I'm sad to see them go. I liked their takes on the characters, and I liked how well they fit together as a team. It was just an enjoyable time.
Well, time to see if they can do it again, I suppose.

there are far to many remakes and reboots. sometimes I think
that there are no more original ideas in Hollywood.

I agree completely, Hezi. I was thrilled to see District 9 for that reason.
Mad, what else can tou say. I did like the two F4 films but even if I did not i cannot see any point to this at all. Even if the cast did not want to do a third film, just recast. To go back and just remake the first film is maddness.
It seems to me that sometimes it is the producers/film makers that need a reboot.
