Megan Fox as Catwoman in Batman 3 - It’s NOT true!
I wasn't going to post this news at all because I'm confident it's bullshit.
The UK outlet, The Sun, is always full of crap - but they like producing crap and that's ok because it's entertaining, but when people star believing it I start getting annoyed. A couple of days ago, The Sun "confirmed" that Megan Fox has signed up to play Catwoman in a third Batman film - not only posted a rumor, but actually "confirmed" it. Well folks, I think anyone who's been following film news as much as any of us, know damn well that isn't true.
The truth is, Christopher Nolan isn't even signed up for a third film just yet and some believe that it is very unlikely he'll return to the franchise. Without Nolan or a director, their isn't a script.
A lot of people who don't believe this news, however, are being more harsh to Megan Fox than the actual source of the news. A lot of folks are saying "Nolan would never cast Megan Fox in one of his movies", "she's talentless", "she's nothing but tits and ass," and "Nolan isn't stupid to cast a whore like her."
One - why is Fox getting harassed by fanboys? She has nothing to do with this, she didn't post the news, and it's simply unfair, rude, and it makes people who say that look like a bunch of asses. Second, Fox has been in a whole three movies that were on the big screen and a couple various TV shows - the movies in particular weren't movies made for acting. Transformers isn't an actors playground for Oscar potential folks. Fox hasn't been properly tested as an actress and that's not an opinion, it's a fact. I know some of you are saying, "but Phil, you love Megan Fox, that's why your defending her." Well, look at what I just wrote in the paragraph above - does Fox really deserve the harsh treatment by fans for something she didn't even start. She was probably home playing video games (as she does with Brain Austin Green), and heard from her publicist or agent that she's being reported as Catwoman.
Just for arguments sake; Fox could have gone in and auditioned for Nolan's sequel and could have blown the director and producers away - most people would still complain and bitch about Fox being casted in a movie... just like they did when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this.
Now, all that said, I personally don't picture her in the role. In a post I made a while back about who I'd like to see in a Batman sequel, I said I'd like to see someone like Rhona Mitra to play Catwoman, among others, because I feel the character should be mysterious and European, in Mitra's case, British. Read the post to find out.
Don't believe The Sun! Megan Fox is not Catwoman and Batman 3 is still a very long way off. When an official announcment come out, I'll of course up date you all.
I will say, seeing Megan Fox in this costume would be a hoot!:
