More actors join the Red Dawn remake
Red Dawn is a remake that I'm actually looking forward to. I love the original - although I'm not a fan of remakes, this one could actually be pretty cool even though Swayze isn't in it. Can Chris Hemsworth emote Swayze machoness? We'll see.
Four more now join Hemsworth, Josh Peck, and Adrianne Palicki in the World War III picture. Transformers 2 actress Isabel Lucas, Josh Hutcherson, Connor Cruise, and Edwin Hodge support as Erica, Robert, Daryl, and Danny respectively.
Each character was formally played by Lea Thompson, C. Thomas Howell, Darren Dalton, and Brad Savage.
In the original film, the USA was invaded by the Soviet Union and the Cuba armies - now, updated with today, the USA will be invaded by Russia (again) and China. It should be pretty damn epic, hopefully at least.
It's also rumored, and I may have not spoken about it, that Kurt Russell will also star which is amazing.
Red Dawn is will begin shooting next month and will hit theaters September 24, 2010.
It should also be noted that after Red Dawn, it's likely that Chris Hemsworth will begin shooting Thor!
