TV week in Review: Quick Thoughts
Quick thoughts on Warehouse 13 and True Blood. Beware of spoilers.
Editors note: What I discuss below are from television shows I currently watch. They're not full reviews or episode recaps, only quick thoughts. If you don't watch these shows, you'll not understand my context when speaking of it. If your looking to be convinced about a certain show, all I can say is if I'm writing about them week after week, then they're probably good shows (excluding Heroes - I've invested too much time to give up on it).

Warehouse 13 - Elements
Each week I'm enjoying this show more and more. In this weeks episode, Stargate Atlantis star Joe Flanigan guest starred which for Stargate fans, like myself, were excited for. In short, I'd rather see another episode of Atlantis than wait for guest appearances on other scifi or SyFy shows (genre and network). Still, it was fun seeing him play another character other than John Sheppard although, honestly, I felt like he was playing the same character, different name. Whatever, it's cool.
The episode overall, as usual, fun and interesting. They touched on Native American mythology but I can't say if the miggufin or myth behind the episode is an actual myth and not made up. Who cares honestly. It's not important. I always enjoyed Native American stuff - movies about them especially (example: Dances With Wolves - love that movie).
I also enjoyed watching more Artie and Claudia shenanigans as they try to work together inside the warehouse.
The thing I like about this show in particular is that it doesn't take itself very seriously. I don't mean that in a cheesy way or the actors and writers don't care, I'm just comparing it to shows like LOST or Battlestar Galactica that makes us as viewers get so involved with emotion and thought. Warehouse 13 is simply fun and entertaining and has found a balance without turning it into something pathetic like last years Knight Rider or making it too serious as Battlestar. It's light hearted with character emotion that we haven't really dug into yet, but it's still so early in the series.
On another note, the series has been doing exceptionally well in the ratings game but who pays attention to those anymore...? Oh yea, the networks do because they suck.
The new episode coming up looks like it could be a little more serious and a little more dangerous for the lead characters.

True Blood - Timebomb
Best True Blood episode EVER! We finally get to meet Godric, the two thousand year old Vampire who is apparently is idealist who wants to see humans and Vampire to coexist. Although Billy Nighy's Viktor from the Underworld franchise is my favorite Vampire, I have to admit, Godric scored the most bad-ass Vampire line yet; "I'm older than your Jesus..." Don't take that out of context people who didn't see the episode. Anyways, that was cold and awesome at the same time. Godric basically said, "I'm two thousand years old and I'll kill everyone easily" although that isn't exactly what he said.
Also, was it me, or did anyone else want to hang out at the Vampire party?! There's a bunch of things that I think where awesome during those scenes but what topped it was Lorena showing up and starting shit with Sookie. I kinda feel bad for Lorena because she's simply still in love with Bill and those of us who've been in love know that feeling screws up the mind. She's immortal and the Vampire she loves doesn't want her and in fact hates her. That's rough. Anyhow, when Godric grabbed her by the throat... aww dude! That shit kicked ass. She was scared big time, and then got banished from all of Texas - The crying made me feel bad for her by the way. When she walked out of the house with all the blood tears... that got me.
Now that Godric is safe, Eric smiled! He's a happy Vampire and he not only smiled once but several times. He even thanked Jason for going Rambo on the Children of the Sun. Then he started putting the moves on Sookie... then smiled at Bill cause Bill was pissed.
I could go on and on but the Vampire stuff is what made the episode amazing. Screw everything else. I can't wait until next week.
