I’m watching the original and the final cut version together. As I write this, I’m about 30 min into the film. The Final Cut version is heavily re-cut so far. You can really see the work that was done to this new cut by watching the two side by side.
Some scenes are the same, but a different camera angles is used, and in other scenes a word or two is left out. Many of the attempts at quick humor, and most of the female vs. male tension that is present when Sam is introduced is gone.
Good stuff, but so far the original is still the better version IMO
PS. they also cut out when sam uses the word “macgyver” Eeek!
