The Karate Kid… ugh, The Kung Fu Kid remake has begun shooting
Does anyone actually want to see this movie? Does anyone actually think The Karate Kid needs a remake? If this photo above doesn't turn you off from the film, I don't know what will. This is a disaster.
"Jackie Chan will play the wise kung-fu master in a Hollywood-Chinese remake of the 1984 hit 'The Karate Kid' that kicked off filming in the Chinese capital at the weekend, a movie publicist said Monday," says the Associated Press.
Also, here's a video showing a Chinese ceremony kicking off principle photography. Look at Jaden Smith's hair in the video... How the hell are we supposed to take this kid as a serious actor. This has disaster written all over it. Oh, by the way, the film is directed by the idiot who directed Pink Panther 2. You know, I would have rather had Uwe Boll directed this movie - at least that way we could have had some fun with it.
