Star Trek: Early design of the Riverside Shipyards building the Enterprise
Over at John Eaves blog, a few concept images have been posted which show the very early designs of what the Riverside shipyard could have looked like in the recently release Star Trek.
Eaves is probably one of the most experienced and established concept illustrator in filmmaking today. He's worked on tons of films and television shows which includes Robocop 2, Terminator 2, Artificial Intelligence, Seaquest DSV and several Star Trek films and TV series. Here in his concepts of the shipyards, he started off his concepts by being inspired by the San Francisco fleet yards in Alameda. He has pretty cool images to exhibit what he was trying to do - one is above.
