Is Megan Fox bitter at peoples perception of her?
A couple more weeks! The video above is from the recent premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that took place in Japan. Although I'm not clear on the context of some of the answers, I suppose they're obvious. One thing is for sure - Isabella Lucas is so quiet and sweet. Anyhow, that's not what this post is about - it's about Megan Fox.
Entertainment Weekly has a large interview with the sexiest woman in Hollywood. In it she talks about Transformers 2, the struggle of being taken seriously, the paparazzi, Brian Austin Green and a few other things. To be honest, I'm getting a vibe that Megan is a bit bitter at how she's perceived although she sort of understands why. Let's face the facts, we know she knows she's hot as hell and that does effect how your perceived in Hollywood. It's happened with women before, like Angelina Jolie (sexy woman, fantastic actress), but Megan doesn't try and compare herself to her. Like any actor, she's trying to prove herself. She hopes, in the future, she'll be able to get roles that will give her the opportunity to actually act.
It's actually a very good article that I suggest to any Megan Fox fan. I know most people will never look past the fact that she's gorgeous but as a person that is interested in cinema, I hope to see Megan build her career on top of good performances and not just sexy roles. The fact is, she hasn't had a chance to make a movie that gives her that opportunity. Transformers, of course, isn't meant for award season - it's a summer action flick and does exactly what it is meant to do, entertain on a blockbuster level. Could some of her upcoming films bring out a range that we haven't seen? Maybe. Diablo Cody's Jennifer's Body could be one - or could she do it in Passion Plays, a film with Mickey Rourke. Maybe Ironclad, a movie with a stellar cast that may bring out the best in her. Who knows! But I'm curious to find out. I think she'll get there.
