Schwarzenegger asked back for Rodriguez’s Predators

Every couple of months news like this comes out to get fans excited, including me, but sadly never turns out to be what we want.

By now most of you have heard that Robert Rodriguez is currently working on a new Predator film. Word has it that he wrote a script years ago, a script that was hard core and totally kick ass. Moviehole.net tells us that script is the template to this new film but the bigger news is that Rodriguez has reached out to Arnold Schwarzenegger to reprise his role as Dutch.

"Robert's camp has just reached out to Arnie's [camp], but they haven't had a response yet," a source tells the site.

Another source later tells them, "They've written a role for him. Rodriguez is as against the idea of a straight-up remake as much as anyone - which is why they're considering this an official sequel to John McTiernan's film. Like Terminator, they know Schwarzenegger's a vital ingredient of the franchise. Ideally, Arnold will see it that way too. Ball is in his court now."

They say that his character Dutch wouldn't be the main character but will play a part.

I'm not sure Schwarzenegger would do it but if he does that would be awesome. In all honesty, I've given up hope of a big return for the best action star to ever live. Besides Predator, if there is a movie I'd want to see him in again, it would be a movie about King Conan.
