Surrogates: The first movie trailer released
The first trailer for Surrogates starring Bruce Willis has now been released by Touchstone Pictures.
Directed by Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3), "Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others’ surrogates." [IMDB]
Surrogates looks like a cross between I, Robot and AI Artificial Intelligence which are both movies I enjoy, although AI was a little to deep for my taste (at least with scifi). I haven't posted about it at all but it wasn't a film that went over my head, I just never jumped on it as I would other things. Now that the trailer is out, it was time to look into this project and from the trailer, Surrogates looks pretty damn cool! Hopefully it'll be a good film but who knows. From what I read, the film is based after a comic book series of the same name but since I'm not much of a comic reader, I wouldn't know. Also, from what I read, the tone of Surrogates is more like Blade Runner which is obviously not the tone in the film - to bad.
