Ever ever evolving

Hey everyone! It's been a couple of weeks since a personal post to all of you so I thought I should chime in and mention a couple of things.

In an effort to try and make NFD a better place and a better experience for all of you, I'm going to start trying new things. Thanks to the help from someone who I recently criticized, I've received tips about how to improve NFD and bring in and keep more readers. So, for the next couple of days you'll start seeing some little tweaks to the site, but it won't be anything major... at least I think it won't. You'll also see a lack in posting but not much. Today I left out a few things for unrelated reasons - Friday should be the usual, maybe, and Saturday I just might post the weekly concept art and that's it. I'll see were I'm at.

Within the next few weeks I'll start doing a few other things to improve the NFD experience so look at for that stuff.

I have a lot of blogging studying to do but it's of course all in an effort to make my friends here (you) happier than what you already are. Hopefully soon they'll be something else too - something big, I'm not going to say what it is because the chances of it happening are slim but if things go the way I'd like - BAM!

Sorry about no NFD Daily today, I got distracted with this stuff I'm researching so I didn't have time and of course my real job got in the way. I'd like to think of NFD as my real job but sadly it's not.

I hope everyone is doing well and as usual I'm available for Email so drop me a note and lets talk about whatever!

I need some sleep so that's it for now!

I always come back for the dailies. It gives me news I do read your reviews and wish you would do more wayback things where we look at a few sci fi movies or horror or whatever of a particular time. Its always fun to read your insight and sometimes it gives me hints on what movies I should check out in the future.

On a sidenote, doesn’t most blogs have more then one person posting on it? That way someone that does have a life outside of NFD can sit back and relax knowing that the site is still getting the attention it deserves.

I feel NFD has a ton of potential and believe that if you keep up the hard work, it will get noticed. I already check out NFD more then I do darkhorizons or comingsoon just because you add a little more to the movie news

I know what your saying but you have to understand that blogging for NFD is a part time hobby and I don’t get paid for this. Google adsense doesn’t pay shit honestly. I still do it though because I love doing it.

Believe me, I’d love to have more writers - shit, if I had the funds I’d have a network of sites among other things, a NFD company if you will. But I don’t have that kind of money so your just stuck with me.

As NFD grows, and if I can generate more visitors, which will generate more funds I’ll hire someone to write. My thing is I don’t want to have another part time blogger and not pay him or her anything. If I’m going to have another writer, I’d want to pay them regularly.

On another note, I will be asking for guest bloggers but more on that later. So if you want to contribute start thinking up editorials. Again, more on that later.

I think you are doing a good job. Its always nice to get a personable feel from a website that you consider a source for information. That way you feel as if you are a part of the structure or the inside network. As long as you keep doing this when you can, I will always visit the site.

With that said, I believe guest bloggers is a good way for you to go. I know you will explain that in detail later in the future but just thinking of that and remembering guest reviews on movies before, has left me excited for whats to come. In my belief, this will help in multiple ways;
1. more content for the website
2. less workload (in having to type up the reviews yourself or seeing a movie you might not have time for)
3. Users will feel a deeper sense of community (because we are contributing and seeing who else visits the site)
4. Those who place an investment in contributing to NFD, have more of an investment to see it succeed.

A little too much thought in a reply that partially was made to let you know at least I appreciate the hard work that you have placed into the site.

I don’t always agree with your reviews, but I never go a day without checking your blog for the latest news on my favourite shows.
Hope they don’t cancel TTSCC…
