Angelina Jolie in talks for Sin City 2!
This probably could have gone into NFD Daily, but since it's about Angelina Jolie and I love her, I figured I'd just make a post about this.
Before the weekend started Moviehole.net found out that Angelina Jolie might be in talks to play Ava Lord in Sin City 2. It's been rumored that she might be interested in joining the sequel, however, as we all know nobody was pushing forward on the news. Now that the Weinsteins are out of the picture and lost the rights it seems the sequel is starting to gain stea.
"According to a rather high-profile producer friend, Angelina Jolie is now in 'serious talks' - as opposed to merely being mentioned as a possibility, or having a casual coffee with the filmmakers to suss out her interest - to star in director Robert Rodriguez's 'Sin City 2'," says Moviehole.net. "Jolie first spoke to Rodriguez and writer/co-director Frank Miller about the film in 2006"
Just like most people, I loved Sin City. It's a crazy movie that turned out to be golden! I hope this is really happening but the way things have been going for Rodriguez, who knows. Personally, I'd rather seem him film Red Sonja before he did a Sin City sequel, however, whatever happens I'm excited. Let's just hope Frank Miller doesn't pull a repeat director's performance and give us another Spirit. At least with this he has Rodriguez looking over his shoulder.

This is awesome news, I hope its just as true as you do, I remember hearing this a while back too. Because when it was still with miramax Rachel Weisz was going to be Ava Lord. But Rodriguez always said he wanted Jolie for Ava.
And isn’t Rodriguez only producer on Red Sonja? And I believe its suppose to start filming in the fall here?
