Terminator: TSCC & Dollhouse Friday ratings are up!

Early last week, news hit the Internet telling us that both Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse made a huge impact in DVR ratings, although live Nielsen ratings had been down. This week, great news for fans of the Friday night shows - both are up in the live ratings, slightly.
"Terminator (3.5 million viewers, 1.2 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and 4 share) went up 20% for last night's 'Today is the Day Part 1' (which at these levels translates to a couple of tenths in the adult demo). 'Dollhouse' (4.3 million, 1.6/5) went up one tenth -- 7%," says James Hibberd of The Hollywood Reporter.
Hibberd continues to point out, "It's too early to read too much into this. After four weeks of gradual but steady decline, hopefully the gain means both shows have at least found their midseason bottoms." However, he also says this could be a one time thing and we'll find out more in the coming weeks.
I'm not going to act like I know what those numbers mean exactly, but the point is - they both went up. Between the rise in ratings plus that fantastic DVR numbers, there could be hope yet for both FOX shows.
I for one - I'm going to hold on to a little hope. Part of me feels confident, however, they could still get cancelled. I don't doubt that within the next couple of weeks, FOX will announce next seasons line up.

About the only thing (absent a sudden, unexpected, massive boost in ratings) that will save TSCC is that they’ll want to keep it running as a complement to the film. But TSCC and Dollhouse still need enough in the way of ratings to make that fly, it just sets the bar a bit lower. Dollhouse is, thus far, a take it or leave it proposition for me but TSSC is essential viewing and I’ll be very sorry to see it go.
