Is Marvel close to casting their THOR!?
Who's going to get the title role of Thor? That's a burning question in movie land, but thanks to the spy work of Latino Review and their sources, take this into consideration.
"I had a first hand eyeball witness of Kenneth Branagh (director) eating dinner at Blairs today accompanied by a young blond actor who I recognized from HBO's awesome miniseries Generation Kill that was on a year or so ago," a reader sent in to LR. "I had no idea what his name was but I got home today and Googled him, his name is Alexander Skarsgard."
You'll know Skarsgard in the more recent HBO series True Blood where he plays vampire Eric Northman.
After some investigating from Latino Review, they're able to confirm that Branagh was at that restaurant, however, it's impossible to know if he was there talking about Thor.
The reason why it has fanboys in a frenzy is for the simple fact, ... well look at him. He's built, blond, and although you can't tell from the photo he's really tall. IMDB has him at 6'4". I'm not saying he is Thor, I'm just saying he fits the profile. Is it by chance that the director of Thor and an actor that fits the Thor profile had a meeting, ... ??
In any case, whether it's true or not, I like like the choice!
