Star Wars the live action series has started casting
Lucas is at it again!
It's literally been years since first word about the Star Wars live action television show hit the net and over those years we've heard nothing but rumors, most of which I can't remember. However, Lucas apparently has started casting for the new series coming, ... whenever.
"...Rose Byrne let slip that Team Lucas is casting a wide net for actors to join the show," says MTV. Byrne says, "a lot of my friends have been auditioning for it." I know, that's hardly a confirmation but I'm not really doubting it because the live action series has been in the works for a very long time - it's about time they started casting. If you don't recognize the name Rose Byrne, it's ok, because I didn't either, however, she did have a role in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones as Dorme - one of Amidala's bitches.
What sucks about the series is that we won't be seeing any Jedi's or Darth Vader, however, the cool thing is the story follows the beginnings of the Rebel Alliance. Hopefully it will be cool but I don't know how people will feel without Jedi's.
Read the full story over at MTV.

I’ll feel very bad without any Jedi! They belong to Star Wars like the Amen into the church. Hopefully at least a force sensitive character will appear. A year ago I still had hopes that the Comic character Quinlan Vos might appear in the life action series because Lucasart stopped the use of the Character in Dark Horse comics.
But that doesn’t seem to happen now.
Keep in mind, he said no Jedi, but he didn’t say the Force wouldn’t be a major player. Let’s not forget, the original trilogy was all but devoid of Jedi. We had a broken down old man who used to be a Jedi, a 900 year old master who was in hiding for decades, and a young kid wannabe Jedi…Lucas might just mean no full-fledged Jedi like in the prequels, which is okay because it follows the story. If he had all these Jedi running around, all you “fans” would be trashing GL because he is going against the storyline, so lets all just wait and see what happens before you find another reason to tear down George Lucas. I, for one, can’t wait for the series to start, as I loved all six movies. I grew up with the originals, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with the prequels, Jar Jar included. “Meesa so smilin’ seein a new Star Wars on the horizon!”
