Eddie Murphy’s impersonation of Richard Pryor - Could Murphy make a good biopic about Pryor?

At some point last week it was announced that Eddie Murphy has been cast as Richard Pryor in a Bill Condon produced biopic of Pryor himself.  Pryor and Murphy worked together in a film Harlem Nights, if you wanted to know.

I didn't post about it, except in Worth Reading, because I really don't care all that much, however, I'm still curious to know if Eddie Murphy can pull it off.  Most biopics are all the same - usually garbage, except 2008's Milk, so the question I have is if Murphy can actually make a good Richard Pryor.

Below, during one of Eddie Murphy's early stand up routines he impersonated Pryor.  In Eddie Murphy Raw, he does a pretty damn convincing job of the comedian.  Take a look.
