DVR boost TSCC and Dollhouse ratings up BIG TIME!

Could it be possible?  Could the signs of death for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse been premature?  It's possible people!

Those of us who watch both shows andkeep up on the ratings to find out if season renewals are possible know the the first couple of weeks haven't been that great according to the Nielsen ratings (outdated piece of shit that it is).  That lead to signs of cancellation to a series that most of us love but I like to hold on to a little hope around her at NFD.  There seems to be signs of life after all, but that doesn't mean these shows will continue after this season.

"According to Live+7 DVR data, the Dollhouse premiere episode's rating increased 30% after post-premiere-date viewing was included," says James Hibberd of THR.  "Dollhouse went from a 2.0 adult demo number to a 2.6."

As for TSCC, "The shows lead in, Terminator, gained even more - 36%."

Hibberd goes on to say that both shows "gains are considered very high increases for time-shifted viewing, even for a Friday night."

Does that mean they'll be saved and renewed for another season - 3rd for TSCC and 2nd for Dollhouse?  I don't know.  I really hope so, but FOX can be so unpredictable nobody can say what will happen.  As far as I'm concerned, networks really need to start reworking their systems on how to rate television shows and what have you because as we all know people watch their shows on different outlets that don't include television.

Although I want to remain hopeful, there are other opinions that you can read they tell you "DVR won't help - they're finished and are going to get cancelled".  That's not an exact quote but it sums up their thoughts.  Head over to TV by the Numbers for that point of view.

Voice your thoughts folks! Help keep our SciFi Friday's alive!!

    It’s very much a catch 22.

I’m sad to say that. But if Terminator is going on like, say the last few episodes, the series will surely end. I didn’t have much fun with Terminator lately except watching Summer walking around.

The first season was a LOT better!

Perhaps the producers should decide to do 13 good espisodes per season and skip the rest. It’s better than doing an additional 7 boring episodes that might kill the series.
