Scarlett Johansson as The Black Widow?
At the end of January it was reported that actress Emily Blunt may have to drop out of Iron Man 2 because of a conflict with another film, a FOX film ironically, ... you know cause FOX doesn't like cause trouble. Since then, and recently, Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku threw her name into the hat for a potential replacement if this really does fall through, however, rumors are now circulating that Scarlett Johansson may be in talks for the role.
"Marvel will not confirm, but sources around Hollywood say Johansson has indeed met with the filmmakers and is interested in taking the role of Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff, who doubles as the Black Widow," says Entertainment Weekly.
EW also says that Blunt's reps are still trying to work things out so she can appear in both Iron Man 2 and the FOX film causing the conflict. Scarlett Johansson is hot, and she's even a good actress. Watch Vicky Christina Barcelona for proof. I don't, however, think she's right for this role. For starters, why not actually cast a Russian woman? Wouldn't that make a lot of sense? Honestly, I'd rather have Blunt play the role but if she can't, I don't know if I'd want Johansson to step in. Let's wait until something is confirmed, but for now this is all simply rumor.

Scarlett is a beauty. But she isn’t looking tough enough to play the Widow I think.
The girl doesn’t even work out (yes, she maintains a body like that without really going to the gym, I envy her ability to do that). She’s certainly got the breasts for Black Widow, considering she’s considerd to be one of the most beautiful women in the world in the comics , but breasts do not a russian superspy make. I wonder what will come of this.
