TV week in Review: Quick Thoughts
Quick thoughts on Heroes, Fringe, Knight Rider, LOST, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Battlestar Galactica.
Beware of spoilers

Heroes - A Clear and Present Danger
The first episode of 2009 for Heroes is now here, so what did we think? One of the larger issues this past year or so has been the decrease in quality writing. The hope is with the new year comes a better television series. Starting off this next string of episodes is A Clear and Present Danger but I don't see any difference from last season.
As I usually write out my Heroes quick thoughts, here is a bullet point:
Sylar - Awesome
Peter - Pretty good
Ando/Hiro - Alright, but I see better potential with Ando
Claire - Alright
HRG - Alright
Nathan plus everyone else - ehh
As I see it, the episode average is - Alright.
The story with Sylar trying to find his dad is pretty good and the scene were he takes on the government agents was pretty bad ass.
Peter's story has potential to be something cool, like it usually is, but the guy needs to be tougher than what he is. His personality and they way he acts towards things is the same its been for the past two years. And another thing - why was he afraid to let go when the plane was going down.... did he forget he can fly? Wait, didn't he remind us that he could in the beginning of the episode? Yeah he did.
As for everyone else, I need to see more of this chapter.

Fringe - The Transformation
So what did that guy transform into anyways? And JJ Abrams is obsessed with planes.
I really enjoyed this episode and I think it was one of the better ones this season. I like the John and Olivia story throughout the episode and I'm thrilled that his character has been redeemed, however, I feel it was cut short too quickly. Everything about Massive Dynamics and John Scott was a good story line but I do understand moving the plot along. I just felt it was dealt with too quickly. It probably would have work up until the season finale... unless they have something bigger planned for the finale, which I'm sure they do.
As usual, it was an episode that moved along quickly with good pacing and had a solid story, but Olivia needs more emotion. There was certain times while she was talking to John that I thought she was going to get emotional, in any sense of the word, but she didn't and the drama never came through.
All in all despite my two issues, the episode was really damn enjoyable and I hope this weeks turns out the same.

Knight Rider - Fight Knight
Did anyone else laugh when the so called drill instructor came on screen? I know I did. If you want to see real drill instructors, CLICK HERE.
Other than that, I dont' even want to talk about this episode because it was stupid and it sucked. As a matter of fact, the next time I talk about Knight Rider is when it ends. I don't want to waste my breath on this show anymore. Come back at the end of the season for some comments.

Lost - The Little Prince
Wow this season of Lost is fantastic. I love everything that's going on with the island and our cast. I'm curious to know who the people on the boat were but I'm sure we'll find out... months from now probably. The big news of the day is that Jin isn't dead!!! Daniel Dae Kim is awesome and he deserves more than being killed. I feel bad for him because he doesn't know what the deal is and he's going back and forth through time! and he doesn't know it! and who does he end up finding!?! Delenn... I mean Danielle. Which is ironic because both actors starred in Babylon 5.
The story back on the main land is getting interesting. We now know it was Ben all along who was trying to get Aaron and I can't believe I didn't see it before. See what happens - even a fan of the show lets his guard down on Ben and he smacks you in the back of your head. He also is going to have Hurley released from prison, or so it's hinted at.
To sum it all up - it was an awesome episode and I can't wait for the next one.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars
This episode was a huge improvement over last weeks ep, not that last weeks ep was horrible, it just was kind of boring. There was way more excitement in this with the lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan, Anakin and Ventress.
I also was digging the story with the clones. The thing that I hate is I'm becoming so used to those characters, I hate knowing that they all turn on the Jedi's eventually.
The preview for the next episode says it's a one hour special, so I'm excited for that and I hope it's full of clone war action.

Battlestar Galactica - Blood on the Scales
Adama kicks ass!
What an episode!! What an episode! We see the end of the mutiny with a victorious Adama and I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to try and be brief so I'll just say a couple of things.
I love the scene when Adama was leading loyal crew members to the command deck. How powerful was that when we saw Adama at the head of a big group of people walking through the halls of Galactica. That was macho, bad ass, and awesome in ways I can't describe.
Gaeta and Zarek are dead! We all saw that coming, but what about Anders. He took a hit in the neck but the previews suggest something important about to happen to him.
As for the next episode... the fifth returns.
