Ghost Rider 2 in the works with Nicolas Cage

The Ghost Rider will ride again says Blood Disgusting

"Columbia Pictures is officially out to writers to pen the sequel and that Nicolas Cage is in fact attached and signed on to return," says the site.

Ghost Rider wasn't a critically acclaimed film but it did make some pretty good cash in theaters.  I didn't hate this movie but I wasn't crazy about it either.  Even so, I'd like to see another film and with luck they'll fix the mistakes they made in the last film.

Ghost Rider is a bad ass character and I'd hate to see the character wasted to bad writing and average directing.

HAH! I LOVED This movie, even though it was bad. It was like watching a horrible near-miss accident on the interstate but loving the people involved in it, you know? Like they kept coming CLOSE to making a good movie but that never phazed the people involved as they tried their best to make it awesome.

I just loved it, even the corny 4-color comic parts. Then again, that simple sense of simplistic good and evil is the reason I liked “The Spirit” when everyone else HATED It too. Man I can’t wait to see this flick, I love this version of Ghost Rider.

(It also really doesn’t help that I spent awhile trying to get into the comics, and in all the comics, Johnny Blaze is a total F***ING IDIOT. They make it clear that he was STUPID for signing the devil’s deal, unlike the movie where he was just young and loved his daddy, and that he CONTINUES to be stupid in the afterlife/hell. People can say what they want about these movies, but this is way better than the comic.)
