Terminator: TSCC - The major death is….?

Possible spoilers to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

We heard since Comic Con that a major character wasn't going to make it to the end of Season 2, so the speculation has been going on for a long time.

Last week I posted my 13 Worst Film & Television fears where I posted that I didn't want Brain Austin Green's Derek Reese to be that major death.  At some points, I really started to believe that Reese really was going to get killed, however, thankfully that may not be the case.

Michael Ausiello reports at Entertainment Weekly that the major death is female.  "Okay, here are three hints: The Character is female, she has close ties to John, and she's an out and proud Aushole," he says.

In my opinion, it has to be Riley played by Levin Rambin... it's gotta be.  You can't kill off Sarah Connor and you can't kill off Cameron because that would be the dumbest writing moves in history, so it's gotta be Riley.  I can't say anyone is going to feel bad about that...

I'm just glad it's not Derek... You could kill off anyone in this show, including John, but not Derek.

Except - I find it hard to believe that the PTB in Hollywood haven’t spotted just how awesome Summer Glau is, plus she’s just moved to a major Talent Agency that deals with big film stars. Summer’s star is on the rise and Fox is not clearly committed to the long term with TSCC. They can kill her off and bring her back as a different Cameron model - strictly speaking they can’t actually kill any of the Terminator characters because they’re not in fact alive. If Summer gets a good offer she can say to Fox, `Let me go and do this movie and if we part on good terms I will come back, if you need me, when I’m free again.’

That’s really possible, but I doubt it. We’ll find out in several weeks.

Well i think it can be Cameron, even if it is unlikely. To me as a terminator she could be killed and replayed by another terminator ( same or different modal) The Actress then can still be in the show as A. a different terminator sent to help John or B.next seasons major bad Villain, and a new modal is sent to help john. C. Maybe there will be two Cameron’s one good one bad.

However i think you are more likely to be right.

Either way i have enjoyed this show more than i thought i would.

Killing off Cameron or even altering her character so she isn’t the current Cameron would be the kiss of death for the show. They’ve made so many screwups with the first 13 episodes that doubling down on that for the back nine would guarantee the show doesn’t get a third season.

There’s little doubt that Riley will be removed somehow, because once her position as a plant by Jesse is revealed, what purpose can she serve on the show? She has no Resistance fighter skills to bring to the war and she’s already been revealed as unreliable and suicidal. She’s the last person John Connor needs around him - somebody to emphasize his own suicidal tendencies.

But Thomas Dekker’s recently dropped spoilers, if true, concern me greatly. He said that ALL the women in John’s life are stripped from John by end of the season. That really could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for this show.

Summer Glau is fifty percent of the show, with Lena and Tom the other fifty percent. Messing with either Summer or Lena could easily result in damaging the show beyond repair.

Fortunately, Tom also said that the stand alone episode nonsense they indulged in the first 13 is dropped in the back nine. And there won’t be any more people or Terminators coming back in time either. No more “Grand Central Station” time machine! He said that was imposed by the network but the writers never liked it.

Let’s just pray they don’t mess with Cameron.

    It’s Jesse. “Aushole” = Australian = Jesse.
