Ricardo Montalban passes away

Sad news today - Ricardo Montalban, who was star of the popular Fantasy Island in the 70s and 80s.  Also, among Star Trek fans, played the infamous Khan Noonien Singh - considered to be the greatest of all Star Trek villians and for good reason.

It's being reported all over the internet so there isn't much to report here except that he has apparently passed away by natural causes.  He was 88 and died at his Los Angeles home.

As in all things, it's sad news and I'm sorry to his family but I'm also happy that he's lived a full successful life and for my part he'll always be remembered as Khan.

Here's a couple of clips of that character.

Khaaaaan! That’s really sad news. I have to admit that I just know him from Trek, The Naked Gun and Spy Kids. But I always liked him in his roles. Especially as Khan Noonian Singh. What a powerful voice he had!

“He tasks me. He tasks me and I shall have him. I’ll chase him ’round the moons of Nibia and ’round the Antares maelstrom and ’round perdition’s flame before I give him up!”

Farewell and bon voyage to wherever you go!
