Whitaker confirmed in talks for The Expendables & no Sandra Bullock
The updates for Sylverster Stallone's new film The Expendables seem to be coming out each week. Here is some more news.
A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Forrest Whitaker was going to play a role in Stallone's movie. Over the weekend The Hollywood Reporterconfirmed that he is indeed in talks to join the film. I think most people though he was already attached but I guess not yet. "Forest Whitaker is negotiating to join the cast of the action film 'The Expendables,' Stallone's latest writing and directing effort," says THR. "Whitaker would play the CIA liaison for a group of mercenaries (played by Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Jason Statham) who are clandestinely sent to South America to over throw a dictator."
Also, that same article it appears the the rumors of Sandra Bullock joining the cast was untrue. A spokes person for Nu Image/Millennium said "merely wishful thinking for fans." Um, whatever that means...
