Top 5 2008 movie quotes with MP3s
You do it every day - You quote some of the most memorable lines in movies to your friends, families and co-workers, most of the time they look at you funny but here in this place it's encouraged.
2008 was host to some fantastic movies, as I'm sure you've noticed, and in those movies come a couple of kick ass quotes I had to share. After doing some thinking the past couple of weeks I came up with 5 of my most favorite lines of dialog this year. I was going to do ten but I realized they were all coming from the same movies, so I figured 5 would be just fine.
I don't expect everyone to agree with me so feel free to tell me some of your favorite quotes of the year... or you can even tell my why you think mine suck - even though they don't.
Lets get started with number 5:
5 - Iron Man - I am Iron Man

Iron Man basically kicked of the summer and what a kick off it was. A lot of people were skeptical of this film for many different reasons but when it was all said and done, people loved it.
The very last line sums up the character and when you think about it... it's one of the greatest things that a super hero has ever done. Think about it - we're stuck in the cliche that super heroes can't tell anyone who they are but than here is Tony Stark... I am Iron Man.
Awesome!
4 - Frost/Nixon - No one can know what it's like...

Without going into all the details about Frost/Nixon, it's the true story on how President Richard Nixon told his story about Watergate.
This is a good movie without a doubt and I recommend it to anyone. I've never seen the play but from what I hear it's fantastic. Most of the film is entertaining enough but the last part, the Watergate part, is the best in the film because that's where we get to the good stuff, the back and forth with both characters. This is were Richard Nixon delivers a broken man but still strong speech. You couldn't help but feel bad for him.
It's a bit long but it's so worth listening to.
3 - Gran Torino - Get off my lawn

There isn't much that's better than Clint Eastwood being Clint Eastwood. The Eastwood brand is known to everyone and he continues that style here in Gran Torino.
While a couple of gang member were roughing up the neighbors, Dirty Harry/Josey Wales/The Man with no Name all came out at once and told these guys a few choice lines that is almost the most bad ass of the year. You'll notice it's only number 3 which means a couple of more quotes were more bad ass.
That said, listen to Clint Eastwood talk to these kids like they're dealing with a Eastwood character.
2 - The Dark Knight - Why so serious?

A lot of people including myself were very skeptical if Heath Ledger could pull of The Joker - man did he ever.
There was so many lines in The Dark Knight to choose from but this was the best. Promoted the entire time up till the films release - Why so serious??
Here is part of the best comic book performance, and possibly best supporting performance of 2008; Heath Ledger's Joker telling us how he got those scars - story number 1.
1 - The Dark Knight - A dark knight...

The Joker might have been a fantastic character to watch, but there is no line or quote this year that beats this one; Commissioner Gordon's A Dark Knight speech.
This is the most bad ass thing I've ever heard in a movie... In a couple of sentences Gordon tells you everything about Batmans personality that has been created by the coolest comic book writers ever. The only thing that comes close to this is anything Marlon Brando said in Superman.
Between the fantastic Hanz Zimmer score and the fantastic Gary Oldman delivery, A Dark Knight gets the best quote of 2008... because he can take it.
