Star Trek will be locked next week

It's a terrible feeling knowing that I could have seen Star Trek tomorrow... and now I can't.  Paramount felt the need to move the film for a summer release and it all seems like for very good reason.

While updating the film's official Facebook page director JJ Abrams tells us that Star Trek will completely be locked next week.  "We're just making the final tweaks to the movie - we should be totally locked next week," Abrams says.  "Then we're going to flash-freeze it so it's totally fresh for you in May.  I can't wait for you to see the movie.  The cast is awesome.  The action and effects pushed the stunt team and ILM beyond their limits.  I'm so greatful to this cast and crew - and to all of you for your interest and patience.  We'll continue to update this page with new info and exclusives, so check back when you think of it.  In the meantime, have a happy, healthy, fun holiday!  From the last days of the soudn mix, JJ."

Less than four and a half months away before I see my most anticipated movie ever.  Two years ago at this time, I was pumped and excited to see Transformers; now that the second film is on the way, I don't even care because the anticipation of Star Trek over takes it.  I love Star Trek in ways only other fans can know and if JJ blows this, I'll fall apart.

Take a look at the trailer that features Leonard Nimoy's Spock if you haven't seen it yet.
