TV week in Review: Quick Thoughts
Quick thoughts on TSCC, Heroes, Fringe, The Clone Wars, Stargate Atlantis, Sanctuary, Crusoe. I didn't watch Knight Rider this week; to be honest, I don't even know if it was on. If it was, I'll try to watch it at some point this week and do a double next Monday.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronciles - Self Made Man
It's almost the midway point for The Sarah Connor Chronicles second season and it's really been a fantastic year of television. I finally picked up the first season on DVD and I'm pumped to watch the special features, but I'm more excited about the commentaries, I'm a whore with that.
Since the Thanksgiving weekend didn't allow me to write up some Quick Thoughts on TSCC or any other show, I'm just going to drop in a few moments from 2 weeks ago. Riley....??? Is she from the future because that's the impression I'm getting and what's her relationship with Jessie. We now know that she feels that the future Connor is not what he use to be and is making questionable choices for the resistance and that he spend a lot of time with Cameron... Is Riley meant to show John human love?? I don't know but this week they hook up for the first time in a strange episode overall. Riley calls John to pick her up at what turns out to be a house party because she's scared about something that she says is because of a guy who is harassing her. I don't know about you but I think she's full of shit and she brought him there so she can make him get jealous by flirting with this punk that John eventually beats the crap out of... I wish it was more severe though. I wanted John to take out everyone in that room... that would have been crazy. Long story short, they drive then they park... they kiss. Aww.
This episode was basically Summer Glau centric and a great way to start off the week for sure. She apparently has a nightlife at a library where she brings a cancer victim donuts so she can get in and do stuff. It's not clear what she does there, I can only assume it's just to learn random things but while she does that, she recognizes a T-888 in a photo from the 1930's... What is he doing there?!?!? Well she eventually finds out in, what I think, a clever little episode. There wasn't a lot of character development with her, however, she apparently knows that she's damaged which she kind of reveals towards the end of the ep but it basically was just a fun, Summer Glau, detective episode... The best part is, she was in tight jeans the entire episode. LOOK:

Mmm... that's beautiful. I wanna cry.
Overall, I really enjoyed the episode not just because of Summer but because I felt it was a little different from the norm, but tonight's episode looks like it's going to be full of action.
Oh, by the way.... Weaver rebuilt Cromartie.... AHH!!

Heroes - The Eclipse Part II
Once again Heroes is continuing its streak of great episodes. Some people may not agree but I've been very happy with the past few weeks and this past week was no different.
As I usually sum up the stories:
Peter/Nathan/The Haitian - Awesome
Sylar/Elle/HRG - Awesome
Claire - Very cool
Mohinder - Very cool
Hiro/Matt/Ando - Very cool
So all in all.... this week was very awesome.
I think it's pretty funny how HRG waited to start shooting Sylar and Elle. At the end of The Eclipse part I, he had both of them in his sights, then comes The Eclipse part II and he only starts shooting after they screwed. I know the deal, it was a chance to see Elle naked... I would have waited for that too.
The cool thing that the episode showed is how everyone reacts to losing their powers and what it's like to be normal again, however, we all knew once the eclipse ended they'd get their powers back. I'm curious to know if Peter got his powers back, if the eclipse sort of had a reset button on his abilities, because I don't think I can go much longer without Peter fighting someone with his abilities.
Elle isn't dead... I really doubt Sylar killed her just by his reaction when he was slicing her neck. Besides, you can't kill off someone that hot. I know Kristen Bell wants to be in movies but her character is too interesting to kill off yet. They can kill off plenty of other characters that just suck.

Fringe - Safe
These punks kidnapped Olivia... that's totally not cool.
This was the best episode so far this season and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. In Safe after several bank robberies a man gets stuck in a wall because of a technology that was introduced a couple of weeks back, but the robberies wasn't for money, it was for some kind of transporter that Walter created in the past.
It seems that some questions have been answered and more have been asked, and I'm not going to analyze all of that now because this is just my quick thoughts but we can now see that things are much bigger than they seem.
Also, the memories that Olivia has in her head from John come in real handy but it seems to have gotten her kidnapped. Was it Massive Dynamic, the scary weird guy in Germany or both? When Broyles called Nina Sharp to find out if she took Olivia... that shit was bad ass. My man was looking to kick someones ass and she is on the top of his list. I can't wait for the next episode so we can find out more.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Cloak of Darkness
AWESOME!!! This episode is full of chick Jedi ass kicking lightsaber shit.
I'm not going to even go further except to say all you haters out there need to give in and watch The Clone Wars. It's action packed and worth your half hour attention.
Next weeks ep:

Stargate Atlantis - Infection
Oh man... only 3 episodes after this. How depressing is it for you? I know I'm sad especially since we've been getting quality episode after quality episode this season.
This week Todd shows up at Atlantis because he used Keller's formula to change the Wraith so they wouldn't feed anymore but they instead started dying. In short, it's a great episode because we got to see the Wraith Soldiers real face, because the Wraith Hive split in two, because it looks like Sheppard and Todd might be starting to respect each other more... all kinds of good stuff.
I don't know what is going to happen in the next 3 episodes but if Todd survives the end of the series, I really hope he's featured in the Atlantis movie because he's a great character played by a great actor, Christopher Heyerdahl.
On to the last 3...

Sanctuary - Requiem
This is a kind of 2 person in a room episode, with lots of talking, little action but some how pulling off an alright episode.
In Requiem, Magnus and Will come across some kind of virus of sorts that makes Magnus a crazy woman and Will has to kill her to save her then bring her back to life... watch the episode for the love of god. I'm horrible at descriptions, if you haven't noticed.
The bottom line is that I was actually entertained when I thought this was going to be really horribly boring like the episode Kush from the start of the season. The reason is because the story was a little more interesting and the dialog wasn't awful... thank god.
What I didn't like was the missed opportunity with the Mermaid or sea kingdom concept. I know it's only the first season but I want Sanctuary to dig a lot deeper when it comes to myth and such. Maybe if it continues past the first season the budget will go up and we'll see some of that.

Crusoe - Heroes and Villains
This is the first episode of Crusoe that was abundant in action. The mutineers finished their repairs on the ship so it was up to Crusoe, Friday and Olivia to put the captain back in command and get the trip back to England Crusoe has been looking for. In short Crusoe achieves that in a fast paced episode but all goes bad when the captain thought his wife was cuddling up to Friday...
I can't tell if Crusoe is a mini series or a full series because the way the series is going, according to Crusoes story, I think he'll get off the island soon. I've looked and so have other but nobody knows and the network won't clarify. The last episode of the 13 should be at the end of January.
Until then, I'm thoroughly enjoying this series for it's plot holes, bad acting (not much), bad flashback transitions and it's crazy fun.

Yeah, Summer just plain rocked. Fringe just went up a notch for me. One of the best episodes of the season. I like how the German guy was totally hoping to bust out in a custom suit.
The mermaid was borg queen hot!
I JUST remembered to watch Clone Wars last night - Holy CRAP that was awesome with all the sith-kicking and sass, I just think Asoka’s cute as hell with her constant I’m-a-badass routine - AND SHE’S ALWAYS RIGHT! hehehehe
