Len Wiseman to direct Atlantis Rising
A while back, around April, it was reported that Star Trek and Transformers scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci brought Atlantis Rising to Dreamworks to adapt for the big screen. Over the weekend word come out that that the Underworld and Die Hard 4 director Len Wiseman had signed on to direct this.
"In 'Atlantis,' seismic disturbances at sea force world militaries to investigate the deepest part of the world’s ocean, where an underground civilization emerges to wage war with planet Earth."
This is good news, at least for me, because I'm a fan of Wiseman for many reasons; I love the Underworld films, Die Hard 4 was a good movie and he's porking Kate Beckinsale. Maybe this can be a new franchise Kate can star in... she can dress up like that chick on the cover. Seriously, Wiseman is a good action director and with Kurtzman and Orci producing we might be in for a really entertaining movie.
