Transformers 2 rumors: Isabel Lucas is a Pretender?
This is just a rumor but I had to comment on how stupid I think it is. One of the new characters played by Isabel Lucas may be "more than meets the eye" in Transformers 2. TFW has claims that her character Alice is actually not human but a "hybrid of the Frenzy robot".
"The TFW TF2 Insider has confirmed that the character of Alice, as played by Isabel Lucas, in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a Pretender," says TFW. If you want full information on what Pretenders are in the Transformers world, head on over to Wikipedia. "For those not familiar with Transformers sublines from the 1980s, Pretenders are Transformers that are hidden inside a shell that acts as their disguise. In the case of Alice, the shell will be an attractive human woman while the inner robot is best described as a hybrid of the Frenzy robot design from the first movie. The Pretender Transformer will have an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle."
If true, it's cool that the production team wants to continue looking at Transformers mytho, but honestly... this is just too much. I don't like the idea. If carried out cool, then my opinion may change but at first glance I think it's stupid. I want the action to focus on the big robots themselves.
All that said, it could simply be a big lie. We won't know until it's confirmed by the studio, which it won't be, or until we see the movie. Transformers 2 is my second most anticipated film behind Star Trek.
