FOX orders two more scripts for Sarah Connor

This was pointed out to me at the start of the weekend thanks to NFD reader Soran.

Over at the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles FOX blog, the rumored cancellation was touched upon.  According to the blog, it's unclear what FOX wants to do with the show however FOX did give the writing team a chance to write two more scripts; episodes 14 and 15.  "We are hard at work writing those episodes and await news of a potential pickup for the full 'back nine' (additional episodes to complete the season) in the near future," says the blog.  "We're crossing our fingers (and dotting our i's) that we'll have more good news to share with you soon..."

I've been reading a lot of comments about this news across the net and everyone is acting like the show has been picked up for another season.  Honestly, don't get your hopes up.  FOX ordering another two scripts doesn't mean anything, at all.  They're just preparing if they decide to pick up the rest of the season.  They're just giving themselves breathing room to make a choice.

A decision is going to made soon.  Have no doubt.  But just be cautious about this news.  Get excited when the season is picked up.  Don't get excited with meaningless script order.  Don't forget, SCIFI's Caprica had a bunch of scripts ordered, but they haven't greenlit a season.  Sure, it's a different scenario but the point is, it only means something once filming starts.
