300 sequel brings us the Battle of Plataea

This is awesome news! Zack Snyder who directed 300 confirms that a 300 sequel will be in the works and that he'll direct it when the time comes.
During a Watchmen press conference, Snyder spoke with IESB.net saying that Frank Miller will be writing a new graphic novel telling the story between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea. "...Frank Miller who will be writing and drawing the graphic novel that the second film will be based on. Upon Miller's completion of the book, then, and only then, will they delve into writing a script for the movie."
"Snyder continued and said he would not have any imput into the novel and wants it to be a creation of Miller's 100%," IESB.net says of Snyder.
At the end of 300 he hear Dilios give his inspiring speech to the Spartan and Greek army about the brave 300 led by their king, Leonidas. He says that they died "barely a year ago" and Snyder tells us that's the story we'll see. "...it will take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of 300."
300 was probably my second favorite film of last summer. That movie rocks and is macho as hell in every way. David Wenham was brilliant as Dilios... dude he was awesome! In short... yes I want to see more from the Spartan Army. 300 made me want to be Greek for the day, tear heads off, stick them on pikes and wave them at people on the street. I was pumped. Mainly because of this scene below, which can serve as a preview of the next film.
