Two-Face Actor Talks Batman 3

If you haven't seen The Dark Knight you probably shouldn't read this but if you really didn't see it, your not a movie fan and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Aaron Eckhart who played Harvey Dent/Two-Face, played it very well too, has confirmed that his character did indeed die.  In speaking with ComingSoon.net he was asked the question if Harvey Dent is alive and he responded, "No. He is dead as a door nail."

Q: So he's not coming back?
Eckhart: He ain't coming back baby!

Q: I was hoping he would.
Eckhart: No. I asked Chris [Nolan] that question and he goes, "You're dead" before I could even get the question out of my mouth. "Hey Chris, am I?" "You're dead!" Alright, cool.

Q: That's not a problem in comic book movies. You could still come back.
Eckhart: I think in contract negotiations it's a problem.

Q: So you were never signed on for another film?
Eckhart: No, I'm not coming back. I think unfortunately, Heath [Ledger] was supposed to go on and that didn't work out. I'm nobody. I'm a cog. I have no say over this sort of stuff. I'm sure that there's so many other characters that they could whip together. I heard Angelina Jolie was going to be Catwoman or something like that. I thought that was a great idea. I'd like to be in that one.

I've known for a while people have been arguing back and forth if Dent died or not but you heard it from the actor himself.  He's dead.  Which sucks because I was really hoping for more of the Two-Face character.  All of The Dark Knight was the anticipation for the creation of Two-Face and when we got that, it was wrapped up for good.  It's kind of a waste of a great character and performer but at the same time, it does leave room for more different Batman villains for the next movie.
