Beverly Hills Cop 4 Has Its Writers

We all know about a potential 4th Beverly Hills Cop movie.  Most of the word from the online community has been negative on a 4th film but at least in my case, I don't care.

Thanks to the good people at ScreenRant.com I found out that BHC 4 has its writers.  "Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (i.e. the screenwriting duo behind 3:10 to Yuma and Wanted) have been officially hired after submitting an outline/treatment that was given the thumbs up by studio big-wigs, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, [Brett] Ratner and [Eddie] Murphy himself," says ScreenRant.

That's not a bad team of writers considering their past work.  The only problem I have is Brett Ratner directing but with a good script it might not be that bad.  I'm skeptical but I'm keeping an open mind with this.  The fact that Eddie Murphy likes the script doesn't say much considering the last several movies he's done.

The first two movies was on television a couple of weeks back and I gotta say that I love them.  The third film isn't good at all really but the first two are golden.  I loved them.  Hopefully this script will bring back the franchise in a surprising way.

Wow, that’s quite an assembly of talent. And Ratner did direct that one jewel-thief movie and it was very well directed, so I have hope that he can take a good script and make magic happen. Let’s see what we can do.
