Wanted 2 In The Works

Wanted

The big success of James McAvoy's action thriller Wanted has called for a sequel.  Universal Pictures have renewed relations with Marc Platt Productions for another 5 years.  Marc Platt was producer for Wanted.  Platt has begun work on Wanted 2 with director Timur Bekmambetov and writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.  "The writere are at work already, and those creative discussions are taking place," say's Platt who admits the challenge of finding a way to continue the story since most of the main cast will not return for the sequel except James McAvoy.

I really liked Wanted.  It's completely crazy but it's so damn entertaining.  I'd say I'm in for a sequel but it sucks that the main cast won't... or rather can't return unless the writers create some kind of circumstance were they say.... "tricked ya."  I doubt it however.  I don't want to give away spoilers at this point since it's still in theaters so if you haven't seen it than you have not clue what I'm talking about.  If you have however, you can see the difficulty they have ahead of them in writing a new film but Terence Stamps character is still around so maybe they can follow his story.
