Elfquest Coming To Theaters

ElfQuestWarner Bros. are bringing the comic book series Elfquest to the big screen.  The Wendy and Richard Pini series is going to be directed by Rawson Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story); also being written and produced by Thurber.

According to the trades, Elfquest follows the Wolfriders, a tribe of elves, on a "Earth-like" planet as they try to survive in a world with Humans and trolls who are both allies and enemies.

Just like with most comic books, I don't know a thing about Elfquest but when I see something that could potentially become a fantasy feature film, I'm suckered right in.  There isn't any word on what kind of format this film will be, either live action, animated or whatever else is avalible but as for my part I'd like it to be a CG animated film.  Live action would be cool but with films like The Hobbit in production, an Elf based live action movie may not be the best thing.  So I'd say a CG animated film or motion capture film like Beowulf would be the best thing.  It would also be awesome especially with the right story.

I loved ElfQuest when I was a kid. I hope they do it justice when they bring it the silver screen.
