Words From David Duchovny

7 July 2008 No Comment

David DuchovnyIf you didn’t know and I just found out myself, actor and X-Files star David Duchovny has his own blog where he shares his thoughts with us.

Willing to answer some questions Duchovny touchs on playing Mulder again and his thoughts on the new film, I Want To Believe.  “there was a time in my life when i could fall out of bed and be mulder and i think i assumed that he would always be around like an old pair of boots (government issue),” writes Duchonvy without using caps, “not so, i found.  since i have gotten older, it made sense that mulder had to feel older too— otherwise i’d just be trying to squeeze him into this cartoony frozen in time, box.”  Overall, working with Gillian Anderson again was somthing that both actors feed off of to get back into character.  Duchovny says, “…we acted kind of like pitch pipes for one another,” whatever that means but we get the idea.

As for the film itself Duchovny is well aware that not everyone can be pleased with this film or any films for that matter but he believes that they made a good movie and those involved are very happy.  With that they hope that we, the viewers, will be satisfied as well.  “i am pleased by the movie as is chris, frank, gillian and everybody who has seen it.  it’s smart, scary, has a lot of the old mulder scully thing and takes us back into a world that we missed,” he writes.

In another post he does mention why he writes without using caps, “i post all in lower case because i am lazy and a bad typist.”  I find this funny because besides being a well known actor, he’s already given us his internet brand, if you will.
