Screen Actors Guild Strike Could Come Very Soon

SAGA lot of people don't realize how close another Hollywood strike is.  SAG only has another 7 day's before their contract expires and if they cannot reach an agreement with the major studio's by then, they might go on strike which means all productions stop.

From the sounds of it no movement is being made in an attempt to come to an agreement.  The Hollywood Reporter has a large article on the negotiations and they say, "So far, little progress has been made in the negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers, and SAG's chief negotiator Doug Allen has indicated he expects the talks to extend past the June 30 deadline."

This is a bad sign.  This could potiential destroy the industry since it's recovering from the WGA strike.  I don't have the numbers in front of me while I'm writing this but that striked cause a very VERY large amount of finacial damage.  On top of that, the fall and winter television season could be screwed yet agian and that would be very depressing.

If you want to keep up on the potential strike, head over to The Hollywood Reporter.

God, man, I JUST got over the depression that all my favorite shows and movies got put on pause, I don’t want to go through this crap again. *shakes head* You’re right, this could potentially destroy the entire industry. Why is it that people are so stupid that they can’t just try to make agreements? The strike is not inevitable, why not cut out the BS part int he middle and give a little?
