Andrew Stanton Confirms He’s Writing John Carter of Mars

The rumors that Disney/Pixar would be doing a John Carter of Mars has just been confirmed by Wall-E director Andrew Stanton. Back when the rumors began it was said that John Carter would be taking the place of the Narnia films because Disney wasn't to pleased with those films performances and that Carter would have a chance of being better received.
Over at the PixarBlog Andrew Stanton confirmed to a roundtable upon being asked his next project that he'll be writing John Carter of Mars.
I'm not going to lie and say I know anything about John Carter but from the things that I've read and saw, I'd think that it most definetly would have a chance of being something really damn cool. With Pixar behind it and the director of Wall E writing it, I'd say were in for something special. Sure, I haven't seen Wall E yet but I'm willing to bet that it's going to be a remarkable film which means I already have confidence in Stanton. Wall E premieres in a couple of weeks, so I'm excited.
