Earlier in the week it was announced Ben Kingsley would be joining the cast of Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina in Prince Of Persia, which you can read HERE!  It also wasn't known who Kingsley would be portraying.

Variety is now reporting that Kingsley would indeed be playing the villain saying, "In the fantasy actioner, Kingsley portrays Nizam, who plots to kill his brother King Shahrman and blame it on Prince Dastan so he can take the throne." 

I'm very skeptical when it comes to video game films because most of the time they turn out to be crap and the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal really put me on that track for this film in particular.  Gyllenhaal is a very talented actor but he just simply doesn't work for this movie.  In the same vain big name actors is sometimes a good move and it might actually help this movie but the more and more I think about it, this movie probably won't be as good as I hope it is.  With luck it'll be an entertaining action flick.
