Christopher Lee Willing To Play Saruman Again!

With the Lord of the Ring prequels on the way there has been a lot of talk on who might come back to the franchise. The Hobbit and it's sequel directed by Guillermo del Toro hasn't made any key casting choices yet but del Toro made it very clear that the actors who played characters in the Ring films, would be asked to return if the story warrented it.
In a conversation with Christopher Lee, Empire Online asked the 86 year old actor if he would make a return to Saruman although the character isn't featured in The Hobbit. "I'd be interested in seeing how that transition from good to evil occurre and, yes, of course I would return to the role if I was asked."
I personally would love to see Lee return to the franchise, he's great no matter what he does. As much as people hate the Star Wars prequels, his character was awesome. It's well known that the second film after The Hobbit is going to be a bridge story towards The Lord of the Rings so anything is possible when writing that script. In any case, I wouldn't doubt that we'll see Christopher Lee again even if it's just a cameo.
